1. Go to the U.S. Soccer Learning Center (learning.ussoccer.com) and log in to your existing Learning Center profile. Do not create a new profile – one already exists for you. You may have to recover your username and/or password if you have forgotten it.
2. The Grassroots Recertification Course can be found here – Recertification Course.
3. Click on the Course Details to the right of the listed course.
4. Click on Proceed to Registration. Note that the cost of recertifying is $75.00.
5. Complete the payment process and then work through the online assignments. There are a total of four plus SafeSport (only required if you are 18 years of age or older).
6. If you are 18 years of age or older, you must also do the Background Check required by U.S. Soccer. You can submit your request for a Background Check by going here – Background Check (make sure to log in first for this link to work).
7. If you need help with any of the items above, there is an FAQ section on the Learning Center that will answer most of your questions. The FAQs can be found here – Learning Center FAQs.
8. After the online portion is done, you will be licensed as a Grassroots referee until December 31, 2024.
9. We will mail your 2024 Grassroots Referee badge to you at the address shown in your Learning Center profile.
