This Program has been created to improve
communication between NRDP and Clubs, coaches,
parents, and players at all levels.
Description:
This Referee Liaison Program will allow NRDP to more efficiently keep Club personnel up to date on programs and initiatives, and, at the same time, provide Clubs with an opportunity to advise NRDP of issues and concerns they may have.
It is our hope that improved communication between NRDP and Clubs will help reduce the frequency and severity of instances of abuse toward referees by coaches, players, and spectators.
Club Referee Liaisons will be responsible for:
- Receiving communication directly from NRDP regarding new policies, updates to the Laws of the Game, game procedures, and more, and passing that information on to Club members.
- Helping NRDP promote referee recruitment initiatives and/or help host NRDP Night at your facility.
- Communicating with NRDP concerning specific opportunities for referee development brought to the Club’s attention.
- Reviewing and managing incidents of misconduct toward referees by coaches, players, or spectators associated with the Club.
